Baseline Audits (Year 7-13)

Baseline Audits (Year 7-13)

This series of Baseline Audits was created in my fourth year of teaching the National Curriculum of England, having taught the IEB framwork in South Africa until then. I knew I needed a bulk marking option for the relevant subject-specific glossary and theory to be assessed, because theatre education also requires a practical assessment to occur in the same timeframe. Our baseline audits have been used as a standard baseline at the start of the academic year as well as a mid-year or mid-course refresher for examination level students.

What's included in this resource:

  • An increasingly difficult multiple choice style assessment KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Questions which can be adapted for other curriculums around the world accordingly, especially when considering the assessment content was pulled from multiple specifications.
  • Questions which engage with various aspects of performance, production and stagecraft.
  • One mark theory and visual aid questions which can be included as an online quiz for bulk marking at the start of the year with correct answers provided, but also one or two incorrect answers accordingly.

This offer also inlcudes a completely free-of-charge Prezi Presentation (online) which follows the same content as assessed in all the baseline audits and can be assigned throughout the year or course in a treasure hunt style so that students continuously reflect on the baseline throughout their academic year:

  • Direct links to the assessment questions
  • Visually appealing cross-curricular approach
  • Pop culture referneces and current industry insights embedded in video content throughout
  • Additional research and discussion tasks embedded at the end of each unit of work
  • How to guides using the Collab Company teaching methodology
